We are counting on you to join us in making a difference in the lives of men. Become a sponsor of the Florida Hospital Association’s award-winning Men’s Health Forum. Last year, over 300 men completed more than 2,200 exams that are critical to health and longevity. This could not have been accomplished without the generous support from you and the greater Tampa Bay community. Please join us this year as we continue to take this important step to knock out poor health in underserved communities.
The Forum, scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019, is Tampa’s only major health event for medically underserved men. Your support will help us provide much needed services and tests to men who do not have access to health care. The hundreds of men who attend the Forum each year receive FREE services, such as vouchers for prostate testing, skin cancer and vision exams, blood pressure checks and more – all to improve or maintain their quality of life. We have made a lot of progress, but each year, there is a growing community need for these services.

Without the Men’s Health Forum, these men may not be aware of the need to take proper measures to fight disease or take action to maintain their health.

2018 Forum Statistics:
- Of 318 men examined, 61% were uninsured or underinsured
- Of 242 men tested, 46% had pre-hypertension and another 32% had high blood pressure
- 81 men were educated on the importance of prostate testing and received vouchers for free prostate testing at Moffitt Cancer Center
- Of 168 men receiving skin cancer exams, 42% had suspicious skin findings and needed further follow-up by a physician
- Of 223 men tested, 11% were identified as at-risk for diabetes
