Dear Partner:
The 19th annual Men’s Health Forum is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the USF Marshall Center from 8am-12pm. The Men’s Health Forum is a community health event organized by Moffitt Cancer Center, in partnership with nearly 80 community organizations, geared toward medically-underserved and uninsured men in the Tampa Bay area.
Men are provided with free health screenings, prostate education workshops, and health and social services resources to help them improve or maintain their quality of life. The screenings provided are cholesterol, blood pressure, blood glucose, body mass index, lung function, vision, memory, depression, substance abuse, skin cancer, HIV/STIs, and prostate cancer screening for men who qualify. Men can also receive a flu shot and donate blood. It is a bilingual event held in English and Spanish. Admission and parking are free. A healthy breakfast and lunch are available to the men.
The prostate cancer workshops educate the men on prostate cancer, treatment, and the risks and benefits of screening to help the men make an informed decision about being screened. The workshops are offered in English and Spanish by Moffitt physicians.
Your donation will help Moffitt Cancer Center provide much needed services and tests to men who do not have access to health care. As well, your support will have a positive impact on the men in Tampa Bay by providing men with the tools for a healthy future.
Please make checks out to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation. Donations should be mailed to:
